Jazz at the Museum:

Our Ulpio Minucci Jazz Concert Series continues this Thursday with the Yellow Dancer Band led by saxophonist Bradford Marsalis with special guest Grammy Award winning vocalist Reba West. With hits such as “Lonely Soldier Boy” and “To be in Love” this will surely be a packed house. Tickets only $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Open seating.

macross filmworks:

Director Ichiro Nagasaki presents his latest indepentent film "A time of Crisis" for a public screening. Cast members Yara Shahidi, Antonio Vargas and Yetunde Abobe sit with Ichiro for a panel discussion after the screening. Tickets $10.

The C. Macek Macross Museum is proud to hold the 3rd Annual Charity Silent Auction to support the Boys & Girls Club of Macross Island. Last year's auction raised over $100K funds that allowed over 5,000 additional youth to be served. We are positive this year's auction will surpass last year's total.

Macross Ecology

The catastrophic crash landing of the SDF-1 pushed many populations of native species to the brink of extinction. Conservationist Meredith Blanco served as a leading force to save numerous species of plants and animals. This exhbit follows her journey to save the native ecology of the South Ataria Island one species at a time.

She Can Build It!

A retrospective on the numerous contributions of women scientists and engineers in the effort to reconstruct the SDF-1. The exhibit highlights women such as Barbara Goodson, Arlene Banas, Rebecca Forstadt, etc. and their significant discoveries in the areas of "Dimensional Gravity Control", "Space Folding" and "Super-Thermal Matter".

From an Angel Bird’s View

Aerial photogrpahy exhibit by former Angel Bird's pilot Robert V. Barron. Exhibit captures the island's transformation from isolated site of a crash landing to the small metropolis it is today - all from the air.

The Macek Cafe offers a limited menu of hot and cold sandwiches, soups, fruits, snacks and drinks. The cafe is located on the east side of the building adjacent Museum Drive. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
